Saturday night football heads to Columbus, OH as the Big Ten East favorites Ohio State Buckeyes host the Big Ten West favorites Wisconsin Badgers.

Wisconsin, despite having a group of starters replaced, had high hopes for this season. The Badgers are hoping for progress from Graham Mertz and a big season from star running back Braelon Allen.

Well, things didn't go as planned after a 17-14 home loss to Washington State. However, this is the perfect opportunity to right the ship if the Badgers can remain competitive against Ohio State.

There may have been question marks for Ohio State's offense after a poor performance against Notre Dame on opening weekend, but the Buckeyes put those concerns to rest last Saturday.

Mertz is the reason Wisconsin's offense sputters in the 2021 season. Mertz finished last season with a 65 PFF passer rating. He averaged just 6.8 yards per attempt and had a career-high 13 throws in 17 regular season games.

Overall, it's tough for three games. However, it is not good against Washington State, such as PFF passes in the class of 64.7. Not with the condition of depression of Wisconsin, though negative and unpleasant balls and 64% of their music in 2021.

Allen is a perfect star and to do with the wisconsin. He played in just eight games in 2021, but led the Power Five running backs in yards after contact per attempt, had 28 carries on 10 yards and averaged 7.0 yards per carry.

This season he continued that, averaging 6.6 yards per attempt. It has been victimized when putting it in place 4.62 yard when it tests - this compared to his sign 2021.
